Students in the Mahopac Central School District’s preschool and kindergarten programs recently celebrated the 100th day of school, marked by engaging activities that combined learning and fun.
Across the district’s three elementary schools, Austin Road, Fulmar Road and Lakeview, as well as Universal Pre-K at the Falls School, students celebrated the milestone by dressing up as 100-year-olds, complete with gray hair, glasses and canes, bringing plenty of smiles and laughter to the school day. Students also explored the number 100 through hands-on projects, creative challenges and collaborative crafts and games designed to reinforce counting and early math skills.
The 100th day of school is a cherished classroom tradition that gives students an opportunity to celebrate how much they have learned so far this year while reinforcing important math concepts in a fun and memorable way.
