Dear Mahopac Students, Families, Staff, Board of Education and Community Members,
As we prepare for Thanksgiving, I want to take a moment to express my heartfelt gratitude to the entire Mahopac school community. Over the past several months, I have had the privilege of seeing firsthand the hard work, dedication and spirit that define this district, and although you have heard me say it several times before, the following still holds true – I could not be more proud.
To our students: Thank you for your effort, your energy and the enthusiasm you bring to school each day. Whether inside the classroom, on the stage, out on the fields or in the community, you continue to impress us with your resilience and your commitment to growing as learners and as people.
To our families: Your support is invaluable. The partnership you create with our schools makes all the difference. Thank you for standing with us, for cheering on your children and for always keeping their success and well-being at the center.
To our faculty and staff: Your creativity, professionalism and tireless dedication are what make Mahopac such a remarkable place to learn and work. Every lesson you plan, every challenge you navigate and every extra step you take on behalf of our students matters. I appreciate all that you do to keep this district moving forward.
To our Board of Education: Your leadership and guidance allow Mahopac to grow stronger and stay focused on what matters most, our students. The countless hours you volunteer behind the scenes reflects your deep commitment to the success of the Mahopac school community.
And to our community members: Thank you for the many ways you give your time, energy and support to our schools. From volunteering at events to supporting our programs and initiatives, you continue to strengthen the connection between our schools and the broader Mahopac community.
As we pause for the Thanksgiving break, I hope each of you finds time to rest, reconnect and enjoy time with the people who matter most. December is shaping up to be an exciting month in Mahopac, filled with celebrations, performances and opportunities for our students to shine, and I look forward to everything that lies ahead.
I wish you and your families a happy and healthy Thanksgiving.
Sincerely,
Frank Miele
Interim Superintendent of Schools
