Mahopac Middle School held a surprise party for a pillar of the school yesterday. Maryann "Queenie" Ferraro was recognized at the December Board Meeting for over 49 years of service to Mahopac's schools and got a final surprise send off by her Middle School family yesterday.

Earlier this month, the Mahopac Music Department's low brass section went to 50th annual Tuba Christmas. Cassian Fabbie, Connor Lowery, Cameron Dinsmore, Andrew Brunetti, Joaquin Martinez, Maxine Van Nortwick, Keria Kadan, and Cooper Grimm accompanied by band teacher Rich Williams played with 300 other musicians at the Rockefeller center in New York City. Congratulations to our low brass musicians.

The Board of Education recently adopted the 2023-2024 School Budget which carries a 4.15% budget to budget increase and a 2.81% tax levy increase which is tax cap compliant. Please remember to vote on May 16, 2023 from 6 a.m. - 9 p.m. at Mahopac High School.
The second annual SEPTO Together We Thrive Awards event took place last week at Sycamore Park. Families, administration, Board Of Education members and Officers from the Carmel Police Dept. were all invited to this celebration of all the incredible accomplishments of teachers, staff and students.
