SpringFest Celebration of Mahopac HS Clubs

Mahopac High School (MHS) recently hosted its fourth annual SpringFest, a student-led celebration that showcased the school’s vibrant extracurricular offerings and commitment to inclusivity, connection and school pride.

SpringFest kicked off with a spirited parade around the perimeter of the two gymnasiums, recognizing the many student clubs and sports teams that help shape life at MHS. Afterward, each club hosted a table with information about their mission, how to join and interactive activities for their peers.

The event not only highlighted student involvement outside the classroom, but also reflected the district’s emphasis on building community, leadership and belonging.

“SpringFest is designed to celebrate what makes Mahopac unique, including student voices, their passions and the many ways the school community comes together,” social worker Jennifer Stytzer said.

The event concluded with the popular "Pie-a-Teacher" fundraiser, hosted by the Mahopac Against Cancer Club. Proceeds benefited the American Cancer Society, offering students a chance to have fun while supporting a meaningful cause. Teachers and administrators who volunteered to be “pied” helped to create a lighthearted and memorable moment for students in the name of charity.

SpringFest continues to grow as a beloved MHS tradition, reinforcing the district’s dedication to student engagement, school spirit and purposeful learning beyond the classroom.
