Incoming kindergartners through second graders at Austin Road Elementary School recently explored rainforest habitats and animals, such as toucans, frogs, gorillas and jaguars, during their Summer Learning Camp. As part of the “Rainforest” theme, the campers brought the jungle to life without ever leaving Mahopac.
Through a creative mix of reading, writing and hands-on crafts, the program blended academic growth with artistic fun, helping the students build skills while keeping curiosity and creativity alive during the summer.
